Different Areas to Live in Phoenix

Phoenix is unique because it is divided into fifteen urban Villages. When you look at Phoenix Arizona real estate, you will want to make sure that your Phoenix real estate agent is knowledgeable about real estate that is available in all of the Phoenix real estate listings, including the fifteen Villages. In addition to the fifteen Villages, Phoenix is also divided into six regions: Downtown, West Phoenix, North/Northwest Phoenix, Southwest Phoenix, South Phoenix, Ahwatukee, and the East Side, which is also called the East Valley. Your Phoenix real estate agent can be a great source of information to help you understand what each Village and region has to offer.
Ahwatukee Village was listed as one of America's Best Places to Live by Money magazine. They have a great school system in the Kyrene School District for grades K-8, and the Tempe Union High School District. Winter temperatures averaging 64 degrees, along with its close proximity to South Mountain Park trails, makes Ahwatukee Village a popular place to live.
Encanto Village, located in Central Phoenix, gains its popularity from being home to the 222-acre Encanto Park, which includes an amusement park called Enchanted Island. This is also where Phoenix College, classified as one of the oldest community colleges in the United States, and the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum is located.
Laveen Village is an agricultural and residential area positioned in Southwest Phoenix. Farmers in Laveen raise cotton and corn, and are famous for their dairies. This village is growing quickly, and offers new mid-range priced homes.
The downtown area of Phoenix is about two to three square miles large. Here you will find the Arizona Science Center, the Phoenix Museum of History as well as the Phoenix Art Museum. Sporting events are held at Chase Field and the US Airways Center, and entertainment is often found downtown at both the Orpheum and Dodge Theatres.
West Phoenix is where you will find Maryvale Village. A culturally diverse area, you will find concerts held here at the open-air amphitheatre called the Cricket Pavilion.
North/Northwest Phoenix is a suburban residential area. Here is where Deer Valley Village is located, as well as a regional airport. This is also the area where the upscale residential and resort community of Kierland Commons is situated.
The East Side neighborhood features some of Phoenix's most wealthy neighborhoods, based in part because of its nearness to Scottsdale. Property featuring mature and well-watered landscapes are found in the Arcadia neighborhood, at the foothills of Camelback Mountain. Arcadia was historically home to many citrus groves, and you will still see orange, grapefruit and lemon trees in many gardens in this area.
Experienced Phoenix realtors can help you find excellent properties in any of these neighborhoods, so contact one today.
