Do You Know the Average Realtor Fees for Sarasota Real Estate?

Submitted by Adam Waxler

The easiest way to make sure that the sale of your Sarasota real estate will go successfully is to obtain the services of a professional Sarasota real estate agent. Certainly, you can try to sell the property on your own, but this is certainly not something for the inexperienced. Yet, one thing you need to do if you decide to go with a real estate agent is pay their realtor fees. The average realtor fees may differ from real estate agent to real estate agent therefore you will need to do your research to get the greatest deal.

First, you need to realize that it's not the buyer that pays the real estate commission, but rather the seller. Ordinarily, the average realtor fees are determined by a percentage of the final selling price of the home. The most standard average realtor fees for Sarasota real estate are 6% with 3% of this going to the seller's agent and 3% going to the buying agent. Once again, it's the seller that pays this, not the buyer. On the other hand, these real estate agent fees aren't written in stone. There are some Sarasota real estate companies which will allow their agents to negotiate their fee to some extent. However, many won't. A lot of brokers simply won't allow their agents to reduce their fee in an effort to make the sale, and even if they do, many agents are unwilling to do so. Do not take this too lightly...a difference in 1% can be the difference of several thousand dollars. For example, if your Sarasota real estate sells for $250,000 and you could negotiate the commission down from 6% to 5% then you just saved $2,500 dollars.

While Sarasota's average realtor fees usually are 6%, an additional alternative which can save you even more money is to work with a flat fee listing service. Having said that, this is only an option if you are ready to sell your home on your own. By using a flat fee listing service you will pay a one-time fee to get your house listed in the Mid-Florida MLS and you won't be forced to pay a percentage of the sale .

If would like to sell your Sarasota home and you are fed up with having to pay the average realtor fess of 6% then contact uKeepCommission Real Estate to learn about our special commission structure that will save you thousands. Simply stop by http://www.uKeepCommission.com or phone 941-465-9207.
