Mexican Retirement Lifestyle; Construction License for Development

Submitted by Thomas Lloyd
Tue, 31 Aug 2010

La Escondida, a new resort community in Playa del Carmen which promises to be an excellent Mexican retirement community for residents of all ages to enjoy, has just taken a major step forward in the progress of the development, gaining its construction license.

The construction license will allow the developers, Bleu Developers, to begin clearing the land, which includes removing trees and living plants to be replanted, for both ecological and lifestyle atmosphere purposes.

These two points, the environment and lifestyle, are in fact the defining points not only of the early construction process, but also of the entire concept of the community. In this gated community, retirees, families and couples will enjoy a car-free lifestyle, with an environment-friendly transportation service provided around Playa del Carmen.

Concierge and tour services make car ownership unnecessary, as well as making it easy for residents to enjoy the sights, events, activities and nightlife of the area around Playa del Carmen. (Parking is provided inside the gated area for those who choose to own a car.) To promote a communal feeling of protecting the environment, La Escondida will also include recycling, solar power and rain water usage.

The green concept also adds to lifestyle with 72% of the development area being used for shared space, such as yard areas, pools, putting greens and children's playgrounds. In addition, there is a clubhouse, with areas for getting together with friends and neighbors to play cards, pool and other games. A gym and an electronic library make sure residents can balance their physical health with mental exercise!

Within this well-balanced Mexican retirement community, retirees and families have the choice of 50 different properties, with 6 different property types, ranging from pleasant garden apartments to the more luxurious villas. Each property enjoys a large amount of patio and balcony space, with several units including a rooftop terrace. The duplex option offers the most patio space, with a total of almost 550 square feet!

Retirees, families, couples and investors will take interest in this development. Besides being an excellent place to live with services to offer a complete lifestyle, the area's excellent vacation rental market and an optional rental service make the probability of seeing high return on this investment very good.

The granting of the construction license is just one early step in many more to come, as these well-developed plans unfold into reality.
