Now Rlys launches road project in late 2010Submitted by propertynice Wed, 22 Jul 2009
New Delhi: The construction of the bypass bypass Vélodrome Salimgarh Fort Road, a link service for the Commonwealth Games, ran into another roadblock. This time, the Railway Northern (NR) is to delay the project.
The Public Works Department (PWD) NR asked to build a bypass road to the road below (RUB) on the old railway bridge and a bridge over the railway line near power Rajghat Power House. For the execution of this work, NR presented an estimate of over Rs 45.5 crore which was accepted and the amount was paid in October 2008, a senior PWD official said. Sources said that disabled people through its various meetings and correspondence with the railways, have assumed that the estimate also included approval for the construction of the bypass bypass on railways land adjacent to the runway. However, NR wants the State Government to request formal approval of it with regard to rental or sale of land. But with the time for completion of the project, people with disabilities are not prepared to take any risks. Sources said that the project manager, Commonwealth Games, Sarwagya Srivastava, sent a letter to the Director-General NR Vivek Sahay Wednesday highlighting all the facts and pointing out that the construction of the bypass should be completed at the earliest. The PWD has asked the railways to grant permission to lease or transfer of land 2520 square meters on the priority basis. Chief PRO (NR) Rajiv Saxena said he was not aware of such a letter now, and would be able to respond by Monday. This is not the first time that the bypass has been delayed. First, it was the UPS that had opposed the alignment of the bypass which was very close to the Salimgarh Fort. The PWD changed, but the alignment of Delhi Urban Art Commission raised an objection to his red flag to certain portions of the project. In the deadlock, the government requested the intervention of LG Tejendra Khanna to clear the project. STUCK IN RED TAPE Northern Railway (NR) PWD request for authorization for the transfer or lease of land on the railways which part of the Ring Road bypass to be built PWD has paid more than Rs 45.5 crore to NR to build a road to bypass the lower road on the Old railway bridge and a bridge over the railway line near Rajghat Power supply House Today, Project Manager, Commonwealth Games, has written to NR to grant permission for the rental of land.
