Playa del Carmen Real Estate - Healthy Development for Locals

Submitted by Thomas Lloyd
Tue, 19 Apr 2011

While buying Playa del Carmen real estate brings many advantages to Canadians and Americans, through their purchases and residency in the area, funds have become available for building a better society for the local population as well.

One example is the Center for Youth Integration which had its construction begun during mid-April 2011. The new center is located in a newly developing area which includes one of the city's newest hospitals, an upcoming Red Cross clinic, and a number of well laid out working class subdivisions, offering a comfortable lifestyle for the people behind the tourism industry in this city.

The purpose of the center is to offer sports, cultural, educational and healthy entertainment to the area's youth and avoid social problems before the begin.

While the cost of living is very low for North Americans, and property taxes are likewise low, these funds go a long way for the local Mexican community, and a reasonable number of Mexicans from throughout the country have received a much better opportunity for a decent lifestyle because of foreign tourism, foreign investment, and even foreign real estate buyers in the area.

Many expats living in the area also choose to participate more directly in the community, working with kids' baseball teams, or contributing in some other way to the community's general well being.

As a result of both factors, there has been a very positive relationship between expatriates - mostly Americans, Canadians and Italians - and the local Mexican population. The later is generally very appreciative of the economic opportunities received through the area's tourism and expat community and the majority are very positive about learning English and having the chance to chat with someone from the countries to the north.

Yes, Playa del Carmen real estate is a luxury, available at non-luxury prices. Besides beautiful beaches and high-quality homes, expats enjoy large modern stores like Walmart, new malls, golf course, large-screen movie theaters, international restaurants and much more; each of these benefits for expats is also many jobs for the locals that offers them considerably more financial resources than they would otherwise have.

For those who wish to be involved further, there are many opportunities; for those who don't, it's enough to know that the area puts funds to good use to ensure that the community is positive, healthy and full of opportunities for all in question.
