The town was once producing as much as seventy percent of the world's oil and had an unemployment rate that could not be measured. People were working long hard days and even the average person was making well above average wages and things were great, for a while any way. That time seems a long time removed from the Tulsa that we see before us today.

Homes were built rapidly to make sure that every one that was living there had a place to hang their proverbial hat and it seemed like the city of Tulsa was on top of the world. IN comparison to the rest of the world the prices here have actually faired pretty well and even though people have lost a good portion of the value of the homes it is not anywhere near as bad as it is in California, Arizona or Florida where they actually have sunk to lows that were unexpected even by the experts.
