Tax liability: Just fancy way of saying you owe money

Submitted by articles@irs-help-tax.com

Tax liability is defined differently, depending on the way the person giving the definition looks at taxes. As a noun tax liability is defined as the amount of tax owed which is calculated against a local tax base by the currently used tax rate. Others define it as the amount of tax owed and if not paid then the governing entity is entitled to your property. The simplest is the amount of tax you owe.

No matter how you say it, you will be losing money or your property or both in a worse case scenario. This is how each and every governmental body around the world gets people to pay for the governmental officers' salaries so they can argue with each other for your best interest or tell you what is best for you.

Tax liabilities, when paid do go for some good things like schools, the fire departments and even some of the police departments, but not all. Some are not good for the people.

Most people pay their tax liability each and every year without hesitation. This is what keeps the governments of the world in power. I have still yet to read anywhere what gives them the right to do so. There are laws that state citizens must pay taxes but what gives them the right to write such a law. I have heard it described as legal extortion.

There are those that refuse to pay taxes because of this line of thinking. What give governments the right to tax? They have the power to do so and the world would fall apart if we go back to a feudal system of law. But where did they get this right?

In the long run it is a good thing we have governments. I will just never say or write taxes are good and tax liability is like death, both are a certainty in this life.
