Tax Masters: Some of their previous clients think they are masters but not of taxesSubmitted by articles@irs-help-tax.com Mon, 8 Jun 2009
Tax Masters are one of many tax firms out there that would like to take care of your tax preparations or tax problems. The name sounds like they know it all but they are just another tax company like H & R Block.
The Tax Masters Company has been around for about 25 years. They are based out of Texas and employ attorneys, ex-IRS agents, enrolled agents, certified public accountants, licensed tax preparers and other tax experts that can handle almost any tax problem. They advertise they can stop IRS garnishments, protect your refund and help you settle your tax problems. Looking at the different reviews from consumer reports on this company a pattern can be seen. From one person who paid over $5000, he complained Tax master missed meetings with the IRS, missed filing forms on time and his problem is still unresolved after over a year with their service. Another former client had paid $2300 to have is tax problem resolved but after his payments started he could never get any information about his case from the company. No forms were ever filed by Tax Master for this client and no meetings were ever held with the IRS in concern of this client. My last example is an old navy veteran that had a tax problem. After a year of payments and no information he had the kindest words of all the reviews by just calling them Masters of deception. I have yet to find a positive review or article from any of their previous or present clients. They advertise like they are almost miracle workers with any tax problem. Realistically no one can do anything about the IRS and anybody that says they can is just fooling themselves. As for Tax Masters, They are masters just not of taxes.
It is essential to obtain professional advice when dealing with income tax rules and related matters. Study on the computer is a sensible method for keeping your hourly attorney bills low, but always check your findings with a licensed attorney or accountant before making any financial or business decisions.
