Greater New Orleans, Louisiana. It is known in the world for having the unique blend of French, Mediterranean, African, Caribbean, and American influences in its dishes. People also identify marks of Italian Cuisine in it and thats where Creole Cooking originated.

Creole is a very popular Cuisine; it's not hard to find. A lot of established restaurants in the United States (many of them are found in Louisiana) showcase Creole Cuisine in their menus.

A classic Creole Menu may include the following:

Appetizers: Plaintains, Tamales, Empanadas, Oysters Rockefeller, Oysters en Brochette, Oysters Bienville, Shrimp Remoulade, Crabmeat Ravigote.

Soups: Gumbo, Oyster and Artichoke Bisque, Turtle Soup, Crawfish Bisque.

Main Dishes: Chicken Creole, Red Beans and Rice, Shrimp Creole, Crawfish Fettuccini, Shimp Alfredeaux, Jambalaya, Crawfish Etouffee, Muffuletta, Pompano en Papillote.

Side Dishes: Maque Choux, Red Beans, Dirty Rice.

Desserts: Beignets, King Cake, Pralines, Pecan Pie, Bread Pudding, Banana Foster.

Beverages: Cafe Brûlot, Ramos Gin Fizz, Sazerac cocktail, Café au lait, Hurricane.

Breakfast Dishes: Calas, Grillades and Grits, French toast, Eggs Sardou.
A lot of people say that Creole seasonings are the most flavorful and versatile. They suit very well to any kind of dish, whether it be French or Asian in origin.
