Even College Students Can Cook

Submitted by echo_promotions

The majority of college students don't have a clue how to cook. We're about to change that.

Please believe me when I tell you that you do not want to be eating macaroni & cheese and Raman noodles for dinner every night. This is horrible for your body. Anyway, contrary to popular belief, cooking doesn't have to be complicated. The only thing you have to have are the right recipes and an imaginative heart.

There are recipe books that were made specifically for college students. Think about buying The College Cookbook, Cooking Outside the Pizza Box, The Healthy College Cookbook, or some other college recipe book. You'll be glad you did.

For some people, recipes just aren't their thing. No problem! When dinner time rolls around just find a few items that go well together and chuck them into a pot or frying pan. Chicken, rice and carrots taste good. Also try ground beef, onion, corn, tomato sauce, sliced olives, noodles, and oregano leaves. Add a bit of salt & pepper and sprinkle some cheese on top. Experiment all you want.

Other simple meals: spaghetti, chicken Alfredo, chicken Caesar salad, Stone soup (put anything you want in it), hamburgers, macaroni tuna salad, three bean salad, or try a crock pot meal!

An additional piece of advice: never EVER skip breakfast! Cereal, fruit, yogurt, and cream of wheat make quick and simple breakfasts. Or try pancakes, muffins and biscuits. If you don't have time to make them from scratch, use a mix! Skipping breakfast is hard on your metabolism. Avoid it as much as possible. If you're really in a hurry grab a granola bar or an apple with you, but get something into your stomach.
