Being in the outdoors does not necessarily mean you have to roast weenies and marshmallows all throughout your camping trip. It can be tasty and fun at the beginning but as the days wear on, it can get a bit boring. Camping should not be limited to simple cooking over an open flame but it should also serve as an opportunity for you to be creative in the kitchen.
There are a lot of recipes you can utilize when you are enjoying your camping trip. It only takes a little effort and time to look for unique and easy guidelines to enhance your outdoor experience. Obviously, you will not be cooking a five-course meal, but there are many simple recipes that can be very delicious at the same time easy for you to cook. A hot breakfast in a cold morning in the woods is a wonderful way for your family to start the day. There are several recipes you can choose from. It can range from making breakfast sandwiches to making cinnamon rolls and French toast. It really depends on your preference and in your preparedness in making the meal. Probably one of the most common camp foods you can start with is cooking pancakes. There are many pancake flavors you can do. One of them is the chocolate chip pancakes. This recipe is very simple and only includes three ingredients namely: the ready made pancake mix, the raspberry or maple syrup and the chocolate chips. The first step is to combine the pancake mix according to the directions in the box. You can now stir the desired amount of chocolate chips and then cook the pancake on the griddle. Another pancake flavor you can do during camping is the German pancake. The ingredients comprises of milk, nine eggs, flour, salt, butter, lemon juice and powdered sugar. You should first mix the milk, eggs, flour and salt to form a thin batter. About this time, you also heat the 14" Dutch oven using 14-16 briquettes bottom and 18-20 briquettes top until it is very hot. Melt the butter and pour the mixture into the oven and cook it for thirty minutes until the pancake is fluffy and brown. A toast is a breakfast classic at the campground. This is usually done by mixing eggs in a bowl and covering both sides of bread with it. The bread is then placed in a frying pan and cooked until golden brown. To add a little more flavor to this usual morning treat, add a little amount of raspberry or cinnamon for that unique taste. You can also make a combination of a toast and a pancake for a different savor and look. These are only some of the simplest recipes you can do to make your breakfast experience in the woods an enjoyable one. Be more creative in your recipe choices by doing your research on more resourceful and easy-to-do meals for your camping trip and your family will surely appreciate it.
