The festivals and other traditional celebrations in India are incomplete without the taste of Indian Sweets. These are mostly used in festivals which are the expression to the happiness. The feast is always decorated by various desserts and sweet preparation. The most prominent Indian sweets are Kheer, Rice Kheer, Carrot Halwa, Besan Ka Ladoo and etc. Sweets are prepared very deliciously as they are mostly served with food as desserts.

Sweets can be considered to be the mediator which improve and strengthen the bond between two hearts with mouth-watering taste. Sweets in India taste more delicious because they are mostly made up from pure ghee. Sweets and mithais like pedas, barfis, gulab jammuns, rosgollas, jalebi, halwa and other sweets are greatly demanded not only in India but also in foreign countries. Mithais in India are mostly been associated with the Indian traditions and customs and also become an integral part of any occasion or festival.

The diversities of the nation have been contributed towards the wide variety of food which is made over here. Sweets are fondly eaten by people of all over India but there are different methods of preparing these sweets in different parts of the country. Along with various other reasons, the difference which occurs in climatic conditions is also affects the taste of different sweets. In the northern part of the India, there are number of buffaloes milk is found which forms very good quality of mawa when milk is boiled and reduced in its quantity by heating. So Khoya and mawa is the prominent base of northern sweets of India. Thus, northern sweets are rich in calorie and quality. North Indian sweets include sweets like Various types of barfis, halwas laddoos, sohan papdi, mohan thal, mathura peda, mawa peda, coconut laddoo, imarti, mesur pak, urad pak, choco rolls, pure pista halwa, and many more.
