Beef is amongst the western world's beloved foods, and given its taste and versatility, is it any wonder?.

Recently, we have listened to a lot of discussion over whether beef is a healthy food safe for everyone, or a danger to health to be shunned if you possibly can.

So how do we know what to believe, even in medical research centres, there are differing opinions, but further on in this essay we will reveal some appropriate factual tips on beef, dispel a few well-known fallacies and offer you all the real facts needed in order to form an opinion of your own.

However, before that, here is a really tasty beef recipe which you can cook for your children or family.
This is a tasty recipe for 'macaroni and beef chili'. It is not difficult and is a quick and efficient way to feed a family with lots of kids.

Ingredients:
----------------
Macaroni - uncooked : 1 c
Lean Minced Beef : 0.5 pounds
Powdered garlic : one half teaspoon
Hot chili Powder : one tsp
Salt : one small pinch
Black pepper : 1 x sm. pinch
Your favourite tomato soup : 1 Tin
Farmhouse cheddar cheese : 1 oz. (coarsely grated)
Instructions:
----------------
Bring a good sized saucepan of water to a rolling boil add the macaroni and cook for roughly 7 minutes.
Quuickly fry the meat until browned in another large saucepan and carefully drain off all the fat that has appeared.
Stir in the garlic, chili powder, salt and pepper and then stir until well mixed.
Reduce the heat and cook gently for approx. 5 mins.
Stir in the drained macaroni and tomato soup, and bring to a rolling boil.
Cook for a short time until everything is cooked through.

Before you serve, add the cheese, and heat briskly till it has melted.

Transfer into bowls and serve your guests.

This is a wonderful beef recipe to prepare in large quantities as excess servings can be safely kept in the refrigerator and eaten the next day.
If you scale the recipe up, you can leave the cheese out and freeze portions for later. Simply add the cheese just before you finally serve the recipe.

So is beef good for us? here are some detailed nutritional facts for you:

Although this may have been true in the past, lean beef produced now is notably healthier than it was previously, and it should be noted that more than 50% of the fats present in modern beef are monounsaturated fats which are widely believed to be not as damaging as other fats.

If they did any research, they would quickly see that this is completely untrue, in reality the 80g offering of beef that most experts recommend as a correct daily consumption, is in actuality merely 10% of the regular two thousand calories daily target.

5/. Even a 80 gram portion of quality beef can supply more than a tenth of ones requisite daily need of vitamin b6, protein, vitamin b12, zinc, iron and niacin.
