Fresh Mushrooms With Sherry Recipe

This is a Spanish mushroom recipe that will satisfy any mushroom lovers in your household.

It serves about 6 people, and works well as a side dish or a main meal as long as you adjust the size of the servings.
Mushrooms With Walnuts and Sherry Recipe

You Will Need:

2 tbsp margarine
2 tbsp healthy oil
Half a pound (3 cup) organic mushrooms
half a cup walnuts - finely chopped then toasted lightly
2 tbsp dry sherry
One Tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tsp orange peel or lemon peel - grated
2 tbsp fresh parsley (finely chopped)
Salt (as required)
Directions:

In a skillet or frying pan heat gently and melt the butter and oil together.

Turn the flame up to medium/hot and transfer the mushrooms to the pan, saute them gently until they are tender.

Now add the sherry, lemon juice, walnuts and citrus peel. Saute the mix for 60 seconds or so, mixing well to guarantee the mushrooms are covered with the lovely juices.

Add salt to taste, and sprinkle with chopped parsley just before serving.

The third reason to think about is the impossibility of shedding a few pounds if you continually get your meals at a costly cafe or restaurant. If you are a weight watcher, there are few things worse than eating at your favourite restaurant and being given a serving that is far too large for your diet. It takes a special person to have the self-control to not give in to temptation. If you cook a wonderful meal in your own kitchen you are able to modify the size of portions and volumes to guarantee that the meal you will serve is yummy and healthy and still acceptable for your weight loss regime.

Finally, and perhaps most surprisingly, it will save you hours. Almost all cooks would say that dining out in a nearby restaurant is easier than preparing a meal in your own home, but a proper analysis shows that it is not. You need to get dressed to be accpetable for going out, on average, you might lose 30 minutes getting to your destination, then wait for your order to be taken and finally the kitchen staff will still take time to prepare your order. Doing the same meal in your own house can be made into a bit of family bonding, get your offspring or your spouse to pitch in and a restaurant quality meal can be prepared within 30 minutes or so.
