If you love lasagna, but you want to lose weight, then you need to prepare low fat lasagna. Here we will give you ideas on what ingredients to use, so that the lasagna you prepare is low fat. Let's get started.

First, you will want to get natural noodles strips. Natural noodles can be multi-grain or whole wheat or a combination of white flour and whole wheat. You can buy natural noodles at a natural store like Whole Foods. Once you bake your low fat lasagna, you should only eat it with a salad.

Use vegetables such as green leafy lettuce, carrots, broccoli, cabbage, or cauliflower. You want to eat those vegetables that are high in fiber. The fiber in these vegetables will help you reduce the fat that is absorbed into your body.

The meat you use needs to be low fat. You can use hamburger meat but stay away from pork. When you finish cooking the meat make sure you get as much grease out by squeezing the meat. Now you can choose not to use meat and go vegetarian. This is a great way to create a tasty low fat lasagna.

Onions and Garlic - Always use fresh onions and garlic and avoid the dehydrated kind. Dehydrated or processed spices have other additives. These additives can be stored as fat. Processed spices have fewer nutrients and are unbalanced food that can cause disease in the long run. Mushrooms should be natural and not from a can.

If you use salt, chose sea salt. This salt is natural and has a balance of minerals not found in regular salt. This salt will not cause you to retain excess water in your body. Regular salt, or the sodium in the salt, will attract water and cause you to retain water and increase your body weight. This makes this low fat lasagna with sea salt a healthier food.

Tomato sauce - you can make your own tomato sauce and this is best, but not always possible. When you shop, look for tomato sauce that has no sugar. It is sometimes hard to find, but just look at the different brands until you find one.

The Olive oil you want to use for this lasagna is fresh cold pressed. Pick those bottles that are dark since they protect the olive oil from becoming rancid.

For the olive oil you use for cooking buy fresh pressed cold oil. This is the best olive oil and contains most of the nutrient that it should have. To protect this oil from becoming bad, buy it only in dark bottles. This is the hearts of low fat lasagna; the cheeses you use. Make sure you don't use process cheeses, which contain a lot of additives, buy your cheese in blocks and not strips or shredded. These are the substitutions you have to make for your low fat lasagna. Do your shopping at a health food store and buy quality low fat products. Buy Multi-grain noodles to prevent excess blood sugar levels. Use vegetables where you can to bring fiber into your body to prevent your body from absorbing too much fat.
