Hello!

I have this goal of getting article marketing popular in Norway - so far there are only two(!) "popular" article directories in Norway, I own one of them.

To accomplish my goal I have come to a conclusion that I have to publish 4-5 articles directories myself, and then let everyone who wants to, publish their articles to all of my databases at once.

So if a user publish an article about fishing, his fishing-article gets published in all the article directories.

Now, I don't want to have the job of approving, deleting or declining that article 5 times, I want it simple.
So if I approve the fishing-article on ONE of the directories, it get published in the other directories too.

Is this possible, and if so, can someone point me in the right direction to where I could get some more information about this?

I think that this may be slightly more complicated than you think.

Each site would have to have a separate database.
each site would have to post the article to all the other databases with that category.
All of the categories would have to have the same category_id number.
I think you would have to hard code it into the script itself and not just the "submit" template.

I would love this for myself as I have many, many article sites and it could probably streamline things.

If you want one database that they all pull articles from, you run into the problem of how the database holds the data for the other site functions like comments, skins, settings etc.

Thank you for your quick reply :)

Ok, I see what you're saying.. What about just having the part where a user submits an article to several sites? And then I'll have the job of approving them...!?

Doing it as you outlined is not good... it would be creating multiple sites with exactly the same content owned by the same person = duplicate content = search engine penalties.

If you wanted to run several article directories I would advise you looked at niche topics for each one... for example, the parent categories here on articletrader could each be a broad niche topic (Automotive, Business, Computers etc).

It keeps sites completely separate and more focussed to relevant material for that niche (it is easier to delete submitted articles when they are not relevant to a niche topic - simple submission rule is on topic or it gets deleted).
