Hi all.
I guess i messed up big time as i have had 1500+ spam comments on my article directory.

I have now disabled the comments, plus removed two articles that were mainly targeted.

The problem that i now have is that i have all these comments still in the following file "admin/index.php?a=admincp_comments&s=manage" . I have tried to replace/refresh this file by using FTP and overwriting it, but the comments are still there.

I dont want to start over with the site as there are a few articles that have been submitted.

I will take a guess and say that there is more than likely an easy solution to this, i just hope i don't look really dumb by not knowing it.

I thought that i may be able to fix this in cpanel, but wanted to check here before diving in and really messing things up.

All the best...Garry

Try going to cpanel, phpadmin, find your database, it will probably be articlems, check the box ams_comments, click browse and you should see all the comments there.  You can delete the ones you don't want.

Hi ivanis, thanks for the reply.

I took your advice and checked the file in cpanel, but was unable to find the comments. I know that i can delete the comments through the admin panel, but only one at a time, this would take hours and is out of the question.

I would think that there is an easy way to accomplish deleting them quickly, i just can't see it.

Garry

Problem solved.

Deleted all 1500 or so comments in under ten minutes using cpanel.
