The good thing about skin cancer is that the symptoms directly affect the skin so it is very easy to detect in the early stages. Seeking a proper skin cancer treatment at these early stages increases the prognosis of this disease.

Treatment Of Skin Cancer

There are several types of skin cancer treatment commonly used to treat skin cancer. Which treatment method used is dependent on where the cancer is and at what stages of its development. Most skin cancers can be effectively treated by the removal of the skin lesion and making sure that the edges of the lesion are free from tumor cells.

One common surgical treatment of skin cancer is a technique called the Moh's Microsurgery. This is a technique where the cancer is removed with the least amount of surrounding tissue and then the edges are immediately checked for any remaining traces of the tumor.

Scleroderma is a disease in which the skin and other body parts degenerate, thicken and become stiff. This disorder not only affects the skin but the joints, digestive system, heart, kidney, lungs, fingers and toes as well. Anyone can get the disease but it is common in women between 30 and 50 years old.

Scleroderma (progressive systemic sclerosis) is a disorder characterized by excessive buildup of fibrous connective tissue. Initially scleroderma, which means thickening (sclero) of the skin (derma), was thought to involve only the skin. Recently, however, it has been recognized that vital internal organs also may be targets of increased collagen deposits. Hence, the term progressive systemic sclerosis (PSS) is more accurate," according to Dr. Israeli Jaffe, professor of clinical medicine, in "The Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons Complete Home Medical Guide."

The most common form of acne is known as Acne Vulgaris which usually appears on the face, neck, shoulders and back. It's an inflammatory disease of the skin, caused by changes in the pilosebaceous units. There are several factors that contribute to the development of acne. The primary problem is that the abdominal flaking of cells inside the hair follicle leads to the formation of a plug. The plug can grow larger and rupture the hair follicle. Oil and debris spill into the skin when a rupture occurs causing swelling and redness.

1.Wash your body once or twice a day with soap and water to remove excess oil from your skin. Avoid scrubbing too abrasively because this can actually irritate the skin and cause acne to worsen. Acne cleanser purchased at the drug store can also help.

2.Prescription or non-prescription over the counter acne medications. These are used usually at night or in the morning. Follow the instructions listed on any acne product.
