Herbal Remedies for Acne

Acne is a common problem for all, however it is common in teenagers. Teenagers are more prone to have acne due to excessive production of androgenic hormones during puberty. Teen acne in its initial years is frustrating when no treatment works.

There are a variety of acne treatment from herbal to synthetic medications. Most people use herbal remedies. Herbal remedies are effective and safest side by side. Creams and lotions are also formulated using natural herbs. Basic function of these herbs is to destroy bacterial colonies within hair follicles, provision of required nutrients like vitamins, minerals and essential proteins for skin growth.

Acne may also caused by hormonal imbalances, weak immune system, lack of nutrients. Therefore, for common people, it is difficult to diagnose the real causes.

The herbs can be used either singly or in combination with other herbs to enhance their effectiveness and covering a wide range of causes to inhibit.

There are several herbs that are used for normalize hormonal concentrations, strengthening weak immune system, destroying bacterial colonies etc. Some herbal remedies are used topically while some are used orally. Topical drugs often used for treating bacterial infection.

Ginger helps to reduce toxicity within body and cleanse bowls. Constipation is also a cause of acne. Therefore, ginger helps treating abnormal digestive functioning.

Blackberries, corn, sweet potato etc are rich in zinc. Eating these foods substances greatly affect overall health of your skin. Lack of zinc may cause damaged hair follicles and overstimulated sebaceous glands.

Kelp contains many vitamins and minerals. It provides nearly all vitamins and minerals required for your skin health.

Cucumber may also be used as herbal cleanser to remove dirt and kill bacteria within hair follicles. Glycerin is also applied on wounds to help accelerate the healing process.
