Herbs and Supplements for acne

Submitted by beautyandmakeuptips

The number of people choosing herbal acne treatment over traditional medications is growing in numbers everyday. There are many acne treatment products in the market these days but only few of them fulfill the promise they have made to their consumer and this is a prime reason behind people switching to natural herbal acne medication.

Beneficial Herbs For Acne

It can be an arduous job to find out the best herbal treatment for acne out of the plethora of herbal acne remedies available. Green tea cream and Tea tree oil have already proved their efficacy in combating acne. Other useful herbs are as follows:

1.Aloe Vera is actually a skin-cell refurbishing herb. It has the same qualities as vitamin E, which will smooth the skin.

2.Burdock root acts as an antibiotic to fight the acne bacteria and promotes skin-softness.

3.Dandelion root has some detoxifying qualities. That helps in combating acne bacteria effectively.

4.Echinacea Purpurea arouses the immune system by instigating white blood cells, which prevents bacteria from entering the cells. It is also anti-inflammatory.

Acne manifests because of a number of bodily changes including hormonal fluctuations, immunological weaknesses or environmental factors. Vitamin E prevents acne via antioxidant protection. Several clinical investigations have elucidated the relationship between vitamin E and acne.

The fact is most people are deficient in vitamins, minerals and herbs that are important for your body to function properly. Only 9 to 32 percent of Americans eat the recommended three to five servings of vegetables every day. Remember, your skin is the largest organ of your body. It requires proper nutrition to function properly. Just like every other part of your body.

Acne is a terrible condition to live with. I suffered from acne for many years and eventually found out the secrets to clearing it and have remained acne free ever since. In this article I will show you two of the most important steps to take to cure acne naturally.

The acne industry is a greedy one. It sells acne sufferers expensive acne 'solution' after expensive acne 'solution'... These do not work because they do not deal with the root cause of acne! So when you want to clear your skin you might as well avoid acne companies and their cleansers and 'miracle' pills, rather than optimistically try each one in the hope that it will be the 'one' that cures your acne...

There are several different terms used to describe acne:

Lesions - acne is an example of an external lesion. They can manifest themselves in the manner of blackheads and whiteheads, called comedones, or nodules and cysts. A comedo is a sebaceous follicle that is plugged with dead cells, tiny hairs or bacteria.

Papule - a small, solid lesion that is elevated above the skin's surface. These are caused by localized cellular reaction to the process of acne.

Pustule - this is considered a fragile lesion. It is usually dome-shaped and it contains pus. The pus is a mixture of dead skin cells, bacteria and white blood cells.

Laser treatments are another treatment dermatologists offer their patients. Essentially, the laser treatments vaporize thin layers of the skin and also tightens the skins' collagen fibers.
