When Christmas time is about to begin you can start looking for a family that is in need of some kind of help. Locate such a family from your church or local charity. There you will certainly find families that require somebody to help them. Adopt a family from among those who you think you can help. You and your partner can go shopping together to buy clothes and other gifts for the family you are going to help. Invite that family for dinner at your place. You and your partner could prepare a special dinner for them. Make the family comfortable and at ease so that they do not feel like strangers. Give them respect and do not let them feel low esteemed.

There could also be some other kind of help required by a family. It could be that they have some other problem apart from financial. If it is so then you could, if possible try to solve their problem. Maybe some one is suffering from some incurable disease and thus is neglected and depressed. No gift will be precious to them as love and care shown by you to them. There are a number of people suffering from the terrible disease as AIDS and as a result they face a lot of social problems. You could turn out to be their angle. Present them gifts and spend time with them. Take that particular person and his family for dinner and make it their most memorable moment of life. Let that person suffering from the disease feel like a normal person. Spend a lot of time with him or her and give that pleasure that he or she has been deprived of.

Such an act of yours will give you immense pleasure as you have made their Christmas Eve as one of the best in their life. You will feel happy for having contributed your share for a good cause. Whatever you contribute does not matter how and how much, the important point is that you are giving a helping hand to the society that you are a part off. Moreover as couples you respect each other more as you know that your partner has a good heart and humanitarian caring for others.
