Believe it or not, there are many different types of massages. Some people use the word "massage" as a catchall, but this is not exactly accurate. You need to know about the different types and what they offer before you make a decision on what is right for you. Even if you are not the type to get a massage you never know when you are going to change your mind in the future. And if you do you will be in position to make an informed decision.

Facial massages are becoming more and more popular. As you can imagine, this type of massage focus on your face and are great for reliving tension, stress, headaches, and other pain.

The most common type of massage is the body. This allows your masseuse to work on your entire body instead of just one area. If this is something that interests you it is important to know what you are getting into before you start. Obviously, you don't want to opt for a full body deep tissue massage if you are not used to this.

If you are on the other side, that being the person giving the massage, you need to make sure you are familiar with all the types. To go along with this, you need the proper equipment and products. This includes: massage oil, massage lotion, massage table, massage chair, and much more. You can even buy a massage DVD if you want to learn more about how to do this.

Now that you know more about the different massage types you can decide what is best for your body.
