How To Get Rid Of Eye Wrinkles

Submitted by rickhutch

Unfortunately one of the by products of aging process is the appearance of wrinkles. In many occasions, one area that seems to be a wrinkle magnet is the eye area. There is nothing as discouraging as under eye wrinkles for instance. They make you look tired and older than your real age. If you add to them bags and circles, you can find it extremely difficult to look your best. For those beginning to see the lines appear, finding an effective eye wrinkle treatment is very important because it can help making their outside age reflects what they feel inside.

The wrinkles at the outside edge of the eyes - crow’s feet

When you smile or laugh naturally, the small muscles around your eyes will automatically contract. A happy life, with lots of smiling and laughter, will almost certainly lead to the development of permanent creases, or “crow’s feet,” which are one of the first signs that Father Time is marching on.

Drooping eyelids

Drooping eyelids reflects a lack of tone in the skin and muscles around the eyes, and is often seen together with the lid margins in the lower lids losing its shape and tone as well. They make the eye area and face look worn out and tired.

Like crow’s feet, drooping eyelids can be exacerbated by spending too much unprotected time in the sun. At the same time that UV rays damage your collagen fibers, they also cause the other components of your skin tissue to lose its firmness.

Put sunscreen on early. Apply a sunscreen at least 30 minutes before you go out to allow it to penetrate your skin’s top layer, and 15 minutes before you apply makeup.

Don’t be stingy. Use an amount about the size of a marble to cover your entire face.

Hide your eyes. Wear sunglasses that block as much ultraviolet light as possible.

Go undercover. Stay in shady areas, wear a brimmed hat to protect your scalp and further shield your eyes.

The anti-aging section highlights another of my favorite topics, antioxidants. There is a good summary on the major antioxidants (vitamin C, vitamin E, copper peptides and vitamin A). You can also find tips on choosing antioxidant products. So, if you are at a loss as to where to begin to combat the appearance of eye wrinkles, utilize the resources at ShopWiki along with the information on this blog and you are sure to find helpful solutions.

Make Sure You Get Plenty of Sleep – Sleep is also very important if you want to get rid of eye wrinkles. If you don’t get enough sleep it affects the area around your eyes and can lead to baggy eyes and wrinkles. Getting enough sleep is important and it is healing as well. So, to get rid of these wrinkles, make sure you are getting enough sleep every night.

Drink Water – Water is extremely important to the health of your skin, and skin that is well hydrated will be less prone to wrinkles. If you want to prevent and get rid of eye wrinkles on your face, then drinking plenty of water every single day can really make a difference in the appearance of your skin.

Stop Smoking – Smoking is one of the big culprits when it comes to wrinkles around the eyes. People who smoke often squint and smoking can also deprive your skin from the air that it needs as well. Nicotine is also not good for your skin and can cause aging to occur. While it may take some work and self discipline to quite smoking, if you do it you’ll be able to get rid of eye wrinkles more easily.
