Acne pimple usually lasts for two to five days. Unfortunately, there can be more pop-ups during this period of acne pimple outbreak, resulting in a longer period of acne pimple outbreak. Hence, the saying goes: "Prevention is better than cure". In this article, we will be discussing on ways we can prevent acne flare ups and acne scar formation. In the event that acne scars had already been formed, there is also a tip which helps you reduce the acne scar.
Tip #1

Keep your hands and hair off your face.
In case you haven't realized, our hands and hair are really dirty. There are grim and grease on our hands and hair, not to mention the sweat produced by our sweat glands. These conditions actually make our hands and hair a conducive and cozy environment for microbes and bacteria, hence explicating the formation of acne pimples. The trick?
" Wash your face at least twice each day, first with warm water and then with cold water to close the pores. However, do ensure not to over-wash your face as over-washing your face strip your face of natural protective oils, which can in turn lead to overproduction of oil on the face.
" Wear a hairband to keep your bangs from your face.
Tip#2
Have a healthier diet. For example, drink lots of water and eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. The healthy diet will help detoxify your body and hydrate it. Vitamins in the fruits and vegetables can also promote healthy skin. This is essential for a beautiful and acne-free skin in the long run.

Tip#3
Reduce or eliminate the amount of makeup you put on your skin. If you must, choose cosmetics and skin care products that is designed for sensitive skin. Natural skin care products are highly recommended as they tend to contain less irritants in the products. However, do learn how to read the ingredient labels on these products to ensure that known irritants are not present in these products.
Ensure that all makeup is removed before going to sleep at night.

Tip#4
Lemon juice can reduce acne scar as it stimulates the growth of new cells to replace dead skin. Firstly, wash your face with warm water. Then pour some lemon juice on a cotton ball and gently rub the affected acne scar. For best results, leave the lemon juice on your face for about 10 minutes and then dry the affected acne scar area. Do note that it can take one day to three months to see results, depending on the severity of the acne problem.
