5 Possible Hair Loss Treatments

Submitted by drm050067

Even though there is no cure for hair loss, there are a wide variety of hair loss remedies available for those who are suffering. These remedies are for both men and women alike.

1) One obvious hair loss remedy is to just suck it up and live with it. This is just a normal process that many go through almost like acne. Talking to a counselor may help you deal with any emotional issues you may face.

2) Many people suffering from hair loss find that hair styling and cosmetic techniques will help aide them with their self-confidence during this painful time. A few examples include hair coloring, hair waves, and haircuts. Just one of these alone can make a huge difference in the way you look and feel. It helps to make hair loss much less apparent.

3) This particular remedy has been around for quite some time now. The FDA approved treatment for female and male hair loss named Rogaine, is a highly popular hair loss remedy. Although it is not always effective in promoting new hair growth, it can be effective in slowing down or sometimes even stopping hair loss.

4) This may sound a bit odd, but hair attachments can be an effective hair loss remedy. These attachments give the appearance of a fuller head of hair. They are anchored to your own hair, skin, or even grafted on with surgery.

5) A final hair loss remedy that can be effective but costly, is hair transplant surgery. With today’s advancing technology, this particular surgical procedure takes healthy hair sections and distributes them over other areas of the scalp affected by baldness. Normally this can cost you between $1,000 and $5,000. This is a more permanent approach.
