Are there hair loss remedies that don't require the use of risky drugs? I see commercials for hair loss drugs all the time, and they are always accompanied by a list of warnings longer than the list of benefits. So what if I want to cure or help my hair loss problem without those dangers? Well, there are some home hair loss remedies that you can try. Just like with the drugs, nothing works 100% of the time, but these may be a way to help you get your hair back without using a lot of harsh drugs.

Hair loss is one of the most detrimental feelings a person can encounter short of discovering that you have some sort of disease. Hair loss remedies have been around for eons and will forever be available for the vainly susceptible individuals who are so vain, they probably think this article is about them. Sorry, I couldn't help playing off the song going off in my head, 'you probably think this song is about you'.

Like anything else in your body, your hair is affected by your intake of nutrients and a balanced diet. Hair is made up of protein and other nutrients from your body, so the first home hair loss remedy you may want to try is a well balanced diet. Hair loss is sometimes caused by a deficiency of some vitamins and minerals. Some of the vitamins and minerals that may affect your hair are iron, copper, iodine, and some B vitamins. So, the first home hair loss remedy you may want to try is as simple as making sure you eat a balanced diet that includes vegetable seeds, fresh fruit, eggs, and milk among other nutrient loaded foods.

Another very simple home hair loss remedy is a simple one. After washing your hair or the thinning area with cold water, you should run your scalp with your fingers deeply. You should do so until you feel a tingling sensation in your scalp from the heat you are generating. The heat and rubbing activates the sebaceous glands which energizes blood flow that can result in the growth of new healthy hair. Again, it may not work all of the time, but it is certainly worth a try before pumping drugs into your body in the name of hair growth.

Another home hair loss remedy that can be effective is fairly simple. First off, make yourself some coconut milk by grinding coconut shavings up and squeezing them hard. The resulting liquid is coconut milk. Take the milk and apply it all over your scalp and massage it deeply into the roots of your hair. It can nourish your hair and promote new growth in addition to healthy growth of existing hair.

One more option is to make your own home compound to act as a home hair loss remedy. Make amla oil by taking dry amla pieces and boiling them in cocnut oil. Mix the amla juice with lime juice and use it as a shampoo to stimulate hair growth and prevent hair loss.

There are a number of other home hair loss remedies that you may want to consider. Consult your local holistic medicine store or professional for more hints. Though drugs can certainly make for an effective hair loss remedy, they also come along with a laundry list of possible health risks and side effects. Don't you owe it to yourself to at least try some home hair loss remedies before resorting to drugs, wigs, or other options? In the end, obviously, it is your body and your head of hair, but consider a home remedy for a healthy alternative to drugs.
