The usual types of contact lenses such as, the daily, weekly and monthly wear are not meant to be worn all the time. The wearers of these lenses must know and maintain the cleaning and disinfecting regime regularly keeping in mind the fact that the eyes are one of the few most delicate areas of your body. People with sensitive eyes should not use contact lenses. Neither is it good for people who have dry eyes. Whatever your eye type may be, you should first go to an eye specialist or an ophthalmologist, or an optician before deciding whether to wear contact lenses. Not every kind of contact lenses suits everyone and not everyone should wear contact lenses. The eye care professional will tell you all about it.
If you don’t want to take the trouble of going to a store to buy a pair of contactlenzen, let the internet help you. There are hundreds of websites offering cheap contactlenzen which can be bought online. But, then again you must consider the risks, such as, the falsehood of the company and simply a no-response. Because not all of them are genuine and not all of them actually deliver what they promise. Yes, you might get your pair of contact lenses delivered to your place but will they be genuine? And what about the quality? Don’t play with the health of your eyes. Just think about these possibilities before ordering contactlenzen on the internet. Can you ignore any of them?

Let us discuss the types and uses of contact lenses. The modern contact lens is made of thin, soft plastic that is designed to fit onto the cornea of the eye. The main purpose for wearing contactlenzen is to get a clear vision. Numerous types of the product are available in the market. But the basic types are: daily wear disposable contact lenses, extended wear disposable contact lenses, gas permeable lenses or rigid gas permeable lenses and toric lenses.
· Daily wear disposable contact lenses: these are soft, gel based contactlenzen meant to wear and disposed of every day. With this convenience, and the comfort that the wearer gets by wearing a new pair everyday, they have become the most popular contact lenses of today.

· Extended or weekly wear disposable contact lenses: these lenses are designed to be worn for a week or two and then replaced with a new pair. The best thing about this type of contactlenzen is that it can be worn even at the time of sleeping.

· Gas permeable contact lenses: these lenses are stiff, semi-rigid. Allowing more oxygen into the eyes. They provide brilliant vision clarity and are more durable than their disposable counterparts.

· Toric lenses: these are a special kind of contactlenzen. Meant to cure an eye disease called ‘astigmatism’. The clarity of vision and comfort level is the same as gas permeables or disposable lenses.

Apart from all these lenses, there are the unavoidable cosmetic or colored contactlenzen worn to enhance the beauty of the eyes. These lenses can be worn by just about everyone, with or without an eye problem.
