Applying make-up is a natural part of a woman's daily routine. A group or a combination of cosmetics is commonly known as "makeup". Your makeup represents your personality hence there is a need to know the art of it. On the application of cosmetics you tend to feel polished and confident as it enhances your best features and pushes up your feminine quotient. Women throughout history have regarded makeup as essential. Make up does not do magic, it only enhances the beauty that you already have.

To keep lips full trace the outside of your lips with a nude (flesh tone) pencil and smooth with your finger to create the illusion of depth. If you still want to use lip liner, do it on the inside of this nude line. Avoid tracing the entire lip with liner. This will make your lips appear thinner. Instead use the lip liner modestly to enhance the widest parts of the lip.

Acne is the plague of youth, but with the above items, most pimples can be covered well if not completely. The key is to choose both concealer and foundation that match your skin tone. It is ideal to have a professional consultation performed to determine the perfect shade for your skin. If money is a concern, you can ask for samples from the department store performing the consultation and use those samples to find similar shades in less expensive, drugstore brand makeup.

Choose foundations or tinted moisturizers that are yellow-toned, as they tend to tone down redness or ruddy skin very well. Avoid thick foundation. Keep it sheer to avoid textures that will highlight your wrinkles instead of hiding them. If you have too many freckles or brown spots, you may use cream or gel bronzer to correct that and add some healthy glow to your skin. If you have some extra fullness around your chin, you can use foundation to conceal that problem by applying a thick line of foundation along your jaw line with a Q-tip.

You need to create an illusion of length with a square face and a rectangular face. Using a dark foundation these shapes are redefined at the four corners to soften the look of fullness. A round face can be made to appear longer by the use of a darker foundation at your temples as well as around the lower face. Same is applicable with the imperfections related to the chin and nose. By manipulating the shades you can balance and correct the rest of the features of your face.

Unless you are going to a party, bare minimum is the best. You can even get away with just applying mascara to make your eyes fuller. Nevertheless, if you insist on putting on an eye shadow, go with the browns. Make sure that your eyebrows are well groomed. It gives a more polished look. It will make your lashes look naturally dark. When applying eye-shadow, light neutral tones look more natural. A thin line of eye liner will make lashes appear fuller and more natural. The color applied to the eyebrows should match the natural brow color. Apply sparingly.
