Cosmetic Dentistry and Occlusion Related Problems

Have you ever felt discomfort when eating or when talking? If so you might suffer from and occlusion related problem, occlusion problems referred to the way a person's bite his shaped, if your molars are misaligned or had been pushed into a inappropriate angle you might have had painful experiences as a result of tongue and cheek bites.

In addition, occlusion problems are known to be an obstacle when it comes to speech, a person who is unable to pronunciate a set words correctly even during their teenage or adult years my Social problems which have nothing to do with the way the brain works and everything to do with the way their teeth are positioned in their mouth.

According to the American Association of orthodontics occlusion is the direct relation between the upper (also known as maxillary) and lower (mandibular) teeth as they come together in order to serve their purpose, misaligned teeth will often cause problems which compromise the functionality of a person's bite.

Occlusion problems not only will it affect the functionality of the bite but they will also change the appearance of the person's face, teeth misalignment will create the illusion that a person's face is rounder (often linked to obese persons) or they may also cause the effect of being extremely skinny when this is not the case.

When a dentist examines a person is occlusion, he or she is immediately evaluating how the bite force of a person can compromise the teeth, the gum and even muscles and joints which allow the bite to remain functional.

Some of the common symptoms that a person may suffer from what a malocclusion problem is precedent are: constant headaches, head and neck muscle pain, tooth wear, tooth sensitivity, jaw joint pain and even joint noises.
