Does Male Menopause Exist & What Can Be Done About It

Menopause has, for years, been a term used to describe "the change" that women go through at a certain period in their lives. In fact, men have almost discussed it more than women, particularly when describing something their wife or significant other is going through and not always in a positive way. However, a lot of has been learned about menopause the past decade with the main thing being that men also go through menopause. Yes, male menopause is very real. Although men may not experience the same problems women do when going through menopause, they still suffer from symptoms that can cause a major difference in their lives. They key to getting through male menopause is to understand what's happening and what can be done about it. And, yes, there are things you can do about male menopause. Men experience a change in their lives, both physically and mentally, when they reach a certain age, usually in their 40's. • Sleep difficulties- This is a main problem with male menopause and, if not dealt with, can lead to many health issues as the body needs a good night's rest to provide it with the energy it needs to perform properly.

What Causes Male Menopause?

Testosterone is the culprit responsible for male menopause or not enough of it to be precise. For years, you've been hearing all these little jokes about too much testosterone. Enjoy those days while you can! The male body requires androgens to give you all those masculine qualities that women seem to love and testosterone is the main androgen. Unfortunately, as you age, the level of testosterone decreases in your body. Understanding what's happening is the first step towards getting through male menopause. Once you realize there are things that can be done and taken to help you, you can start to enjoy this time in your life as the best time possible.
