A lot of people who are on a weight loss diet as well as almost all health-conscious people consider fruits as some of the best foods to have in stock for their everyday meals. And why not? Fruits are rich in vitamins and minerals, and are low in fat. They can be easily added on to any breakfast meal, and are perfect for healthy snacking thanks to their innate and guilt-free sweetness.

But while all fruits are great at providing your body with a lot of essential vitamins and other nutrients, there are still some fruits that cannot be considered all that good for people on very strict diets, specifically for those who are looking to lower their carbohydrate intake. It is not very common knowledge that some fruits can actually contribute to a person's daily carbohydrate intake, as there is always that common misconception that fruits pack little, if any, carbohydrates.

There are still a number of fruits that actually fall under the low-carbohydrate category. The first thing to understand is why some fruits are considered as contributors of carbohydrates. The reason for this is that a lot of fruits contain natural sugars. These sugars, if left unused, will turn into starch and inevitably carbohydrates. What dieters commonly look for are many different types of berries like blackberries, strawberries, and blueberries. These are great flavorful toppings for breakfast or for snacks and are low on carbohydrates.

LowCarbohydrateFruits is a web site dedicated to bringing information about low carbohydrate fruits and news about the latest diet trends. This online resource is also a great place to find out about many different low-carbohydrate diet techniques and low-carbohydrate recipes.
