When it comes to exercising, most of us take the all or nothing approach. For instance, if we're not able to devote 30 minutes a day for a complete workout, we give up on exercising altogether. But did you know that 10 minutes of activity, adding up to 30 minutes, spread throughout the day gives you the benefits of a complete 30 minute workout. Many of us have a lot of misconceptions about exercise and fitness. This series of articles aims at removing these misconceptions and tempt you into maintaining an energetic and healthy lifestyle.

The Physical Fitness Program must be a way of life. No one is too young or too old to begin exercising. All you need to do is to incorporate some activity into your everyday life. This is especially true if you've been leading a sedentary lifestyle for quite some time. People have different goals for exercising weight loss, flexibility, increasing muscle strength, overall fitness and so on.

Components of Physical Fitness:

Physical fitness is measured on the basis of four components cardio respiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and flexibility.

Fitness can be defined as a holistic feeling or state of wellbeing.

Physical fitness consists of many different body capabilities. The four most important are:
1. Endurance
2. Strength
3. Flexibility
4. Coordination

Each individual should be responsible for participating in the work out program while on shift. It is reasonable to expect that from time to time due to minor colds and the like, parts of the program could be waived for a shift. There should be some participation by everyone.

Station officers will be responsible for the scheduling of time for program participation. One hour per shift should be blocked out for workout time. In the event of run interference, the work out will be continued upon return except in cases of extended call.

Stations will not in any case take themselves out of service during the work out. There will be times when calls come in during work out. It will be acceptable in these cases to respond to these calls as you are as long as the appropriate gear for working out.

All attempts should be made to be as presentable as possible during these times. All personnel should be back in uniform as soon as possible after work out time. For more details href=http://www.soundbodytrainer.com>http://www.soundbodytrainer.com
