The Infrared Sauna Heater - 6 Good Reasons to Choose One

With the introduction of the infrared sauna, many people are curious about the design and how the sauna is actually "heated." The truth is, infrared saunas are very basic in design and there really is nothing magical about it. Infrared heaters can be found anywhere. An every day example of this is the modern overhead bathroom heaters that are installed over our bathtubs or just outside of a shower.

The heater used in an infrared sauna is a specialized device that emits infrared light waves. This unique, yet completely safe type of heating, comes from the FIR (infrared) spectrum of the light wave. This light wave lies between microwaves and visible light waves. Infrared waves are much like the light waves of the sun that heat our bodies in the summer, without the detrimental cancer inducing side effects.

There are many benefits that an infrared heater has over a traditional heat rock system that plague the older models:

1) The heaters used in infrared saunas take up much less energy than a traditional sauna. Users end up saving alot on power in the long run.
2) Infrared heating can operate at a much lower temperature to remain effective. This is beneficial to people who are turned off by the high heat of the traditional models.
3) Infrared rays can penetrate deep beneath the skin, increasing cardiovascular output, essentially creating a nice "workout" without the actual work.
4) Infrared Saunas are much cheaper to build and maintain, which can leave the user more money to accessorize.
5) Users are able to withstand longer sauna sessions, due to the lower heat requirement. This allows for a much longer and overall relaxing experience.
6) Due to the simplicity of it's design, infrared saunas come in portable versions. Users can enjoy the benefits of a sauna while travelling or on vacation.
