The most common form of treatment for gynecomastia is surgery. Surgery is a very common procedure but there are several risks involved. This article will enumerate some of them.
The risks include:

- Unfavorable scarring
- Changes in nipple or breast sensation (may be temporary or permanent If liposuction is used)
- uneven contours,
- rippling or loose skin
