Home Remedies for Headache

Submitted by remediesathome

Headaches are one of the greatest productivity killers. When you're trying to get something done and a headache comes on, it's game over. Even if you try to make it through, you're not going to be nearly as productive and you're likely going to be more miserable than ever. While it's no fun, there are some natural and simple methods to cure your headache!

In severe cases, a TMJ headache may be felt throughout the head area. In a lot of cases though, the pain may only be felt in the temple region. A TMJ headache is actually referred pain or pain that originates from the jaws and radiates to the temple area. This type of headache is considered a tension type of headache and may further radiate to the neck, shoulders and back regions.

Whilst for many of my patients, the triptans were their best friend initially, eventually over time they were finding that they were needing to take another one in decreasing intervals, i.e. their effectiveness is decreasing or ….. perhaps it is that the cause of the sensitisation process is worsening.

Some physicians recommend adding more exercise to your daily routine or removing certain foods from your diet. Stress management can also aid in the reduction of headaches, especially migraine. Over the counter drugs, which contain acetaminophen or paracetamol, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, tylenol and advil can help reduce the pain associated with headache.

In almost every case, the pain is brutal and the burning sensation is unforgiving. The first signs of pain usually originate from one area of the head, i.e; the side of the head but will spread to any other area of the head. Some people even experience a sudden rush of extreme pain. Regrettably there is no medical verification available to explain this sudden rush of pain associated with burning headache.

Whether or not you take a form of medication for migraine, small lifestyle changes and can help manage migraines better, both in terms of how often they occur and the severity of symptoms. Establishing a daily routine, eating and exercising regularly, waking and going to bed at the same time every day will undoubtedly help to manage migraines.

When the jaw joint is misaligned, the muscles attached to it become tired and strained over the months and years, as they try to close the mouth correctly. They end up in perpetual spasm, never relaxing. This often leads to chronic teeth clenching or grinding, even at night during sleep. (This sometimes works the other way around too, where emotional stress causes teeth clenching, which eventually puts the jaw joint out of alignment.)

Experts say that there are many different types of headache that have different causes. The most common triggers for headaches are usually lifestyle-related that include a person's poor diet, periodic muscle tensions, and lack of regular physical activity or exercise.

Have you suffered from a headache that seemed like there was a vice tightening around your head? It's a feeling like someone has a rope around the crown of your head just pulling on it. It hurts so bad that you can not think straight.
