Are you suffering from tired, aching feet? Most people do suffer and if you are like most of them, the first thing that you want to do when you get home is kick off those shoes and sit down. Your shoes will feel snugger at night after a long day either standing or sitting. They feel hot and tired and swollen and the best thing you can do is to elevate them higher than your hips. If you sit all day, fluids and blood in your body will pool in your feet making them feel swollen and sore. It is recommended when you go shopping for new shoes to do this at night or later in the day when your feet are swollen. This will ensure that the shoes that you buy will fit comfortably at all times.

Whether you suffer from sore aching feet due to activities or from your line of work there are things that you can do to relieve those sore feet both quickly and effectively. Salespeople, postal workers, nurses, teachers, dancers and athletics suffer from sore aching feet and will try to relieve them as fast as they can. One of the best ways to relieve some of the swelling is to take of your shoes and socks or stockings and elevate them! Try to keep them elevated for at least 30 minutes as this will help the body fluids move back up your body. Cramps in the toes can be taken away by wriggling your toes or pointing your feet. Take some time and rotate them around in order to get the blood flow circulating again.

Footbaths or soaking in a tub of warm water after some of the swelling has gone down will also help tremendously. Try adding some Epsom salts to the water and soak them for at least 30 minutes. Once done, remove and gently rub with towel, use a pumice stone to remove any calluses and trim your toenails. Give them a gentle massage while rubbing in some moisturizer, you will be amazed how great it feels and your feet will thank you for it!

Make sure to have two pairs of comfortable shoes along with some absorbent socks. Change shoes regularly and sprinkle them when not in use with a foot deodorizer or spray. Spray some of the foot spray on your tired, aching feet when needed to help relieve some of the discomfort.
