Tummy ache is uncomfortable and it may cause your child unhappy and unwillingness to take food, or even decrease water or fluid intake. While most of the people treat it with medicines like over-the counter liquids, dissolvable or chewable tablets, below are some of the simple remedies can ease a child from tummy ache in rapid way.

One of the best ways is using natural ingredients. Certain foods can help to soothe your child's tummy ache effectively. Prepare a cup of hot water; add half a teaspoon of grated fresh ginger into the hot water. Stir it and serve. You may squeeze some lemon juice and add a small amount of honey into the mixture in case your children find the mixture unpalatable. Ginger is actually to help your child relieve nausea and help in digestion while the food component is broken down by citrus. If it doesn't cure, give your child a cup of chamomile or peppermint tea. Besides, a cup of plain yogurt may help soothe your child's tummy ache as well.

Another effective way is to serve your child with a cup of cold water. Encourage him to drink more water. Water helps to neutralize excess stomach acid. Your child should sip the water slowly and do not lying down while sipping. Lying down while sipping can cause discomfort to your child.

You can also put ice or heat at your child tummy where he experiencing discomfort. Wrap a hot water container with a blanket and place to your child's tummy. Remember to cap the container tightly. You can try to place ice pack to soothe your child's tummy ache as well. Wrap the ice pack with several socks.

Over-the-counter medicine is another way to solve it. Some of the medicine is safe for small children. Seek advice from child pediatrician, they will recommend remedies to soothe your child's tummy ache. Remember to pay attention to the recommended dosage. Not too much or too little, it may cause side effect and additional discomfort if too much while it's ineffective if too little. If you need further information about medication, contact the child's pediatrician.
