Get That Hot Body Back After Your Pregnancy

Submitted by AlfJoh

You're a new mother, you're happy, you're still fat---what a bummer; all that pregnancy weight is still with you. Well, that's nothing new; a new mother usually carries 10-15 pounds of pregnancy weight after the delivery--sometimes more. What do I do now. So, don't let it get you down....just start working on a plan that will kickstart your weight loss after pregnancy.

The time is now and you need to spring into action; get worked up about losing that unwanted pregnancy weight and start getting rid of those pounds by taking action, call your doctor and work with him/her on putting a dietary plan in place with exercises that will help you, and get moving...it won't be like falling off a log, but you can do it. Now that you have a top notch plan, get moving and get it in gear; the plan is not going to work if you don't act on it.

This is the best route for you to take for weight loss, but it will be a hard row to hoe, and time consuming; but it's better than being suckered in by those companies that promise you a quick weight loss in just a few weeks that just never happens....most of them are scams. Losing weight after a pregnancy is a touchy subject and should be handled by a doctor so a controlled weight loss after pregnancy plan can be set up and followed; anything less would be a dangerous undertaking.

Your postpartum system is trying to right itself after going through all those hormonal shifts up and down, then delivery, and maybe breastfeeding too; so be gentle with it now. Let your body relax and get back on an even keel after all the trauma it's been through; and trying a rapid weight loss regimen right now is the last thing you should be doing to it. Slowly and gradually is the trick to losing the weight and do so within a 9 mos. period. 9 mos. isn't such a long time to lose all that weight; just look how fast 9 mos. went by while you were putting it on.

Get this; Mother Nature has thought of everything; your pregnancy weight gain is a necessary factor so your body is prepared to handle the burden of feeding the newborn who relies on you solely for food. Our genes tell us unequivocally, that the mother is the sole support nutritionally of the newborn after delivery, and she must have a sound nutritional system of her own to be able to pull that off. An amazing thing happens naturally when the baby is weaned from breastfeeding; the weight the mother has been carrying during the pregnancy is no longer needed and begins to fall off. Once the weaning of the baby takes place, a lot of new mothers will see a large drop in their postpartum weight.

It is a little known fact by most people that new mothers who are breastfeeding, burn up to 700 calories a day. Combined with other weight loss plans, that can be significant...just don't think of it as a major source of weight loss after pregnancy. There are a host of factors that need to be gone over and considered when you are trying to maximize your weight loss plan and the more important ones include what you have on your dietary plan, and how much exercise you are adding in every day, plus many other things that need to be combined.

Let's be serious here; you want to stick with a weight loss plan that will give you maximum results gradually, but provide sound nutrition while you are breastfeeding and taking care of the baby. You are responsible here for the health of not only yourself, but also the baby; and both will suffer if you are not taking care of yourself. A workable daily routine is a necessity if you expect to get anywhere in this day and age; and it should be a sensible one as well. Make sure you like your plan, because even if it is wonderful and worthy of praise, if you leave it sitting there and never put it to use, then you've defeated the purpose of the whole thing. Enjoy your new life with your baby; and make that possible by being careful when you put your plan into action.
