Eating a low fat diet can be tough. Especially in the beginning when you feel like you are starving for at least twenty hours of the day. Eating a low fat diet and getting healthy doesn�t have to mean you have to suffer. Try some of these low fat snacks that will keep you feeling full.

Dried Fruit

Eating a tablespoon of dried fruit is great low fat snacks. They are slowly absorbed from your stomach into your bloodstream, which makes you feel fuller for a longer period of time. Eating dried fruit for low fat snacks means you are getting a good dose of fiber as well as iron.

Raw Veggies

If you have two handfuls of raw vegetables of your choice, and dip them in salsa or a low fat dip, these are great low fat snacks. When you choose raw vegetables for low fat snacks you are giving your body the antioxidants that it needs in order to help fight disease.

Nuts

Though nuts are not considered low fat snacks, they are very good for you. If you limit your nut intake, it can be fine as a snack. They are packed with minerals and proteins such as magnesium, zinc and selenium. Many women are lacking in some of these essential nutrients from their diets, so eating a small handful of nuts a few times a week can be a great way to get what you need for your body to perform at its peak.

Other Low Fat Snacks

Some other great low fat snacks that are delicious and healthy for you are low fat yogurt. With all the flavors and types that are available, you will have more than enough variety. Rice pudding is another low fat snacks that is rich in calcium and can help you to build strong bones. Two rice cakes that are topped with a little cottage cheese are low fat snacks that can fill you up. Eating low fat snacks and trying to incorporate more healthy foods into your diet doesn�t have to be a bland experience. Use a bit of creativity and you will come up with plenty of ideas for low fat snacks.
