Pointing To Your Health:
Unearthing Alternative Answers by way of Meridian Systems One of the most elementary theories in Chinese medicine is that every part of the body is connected through particular interlinked channels called the meridians. Jointly, these work as an integral structure within your body that is concerned with the natural flow of energy and, in step with Chinese medicine, any interruption that restricts this flow leads to illness or disease. If you want to be confident that you are functioning in optimum health, you will want to start to analyse the meridians by means of Chinese medicine. Practitioners of Chinese medicine use the meridians in various ways including acupuncture, acupressure, and qigong. Explicit points on the meridians called acupoints are stimulated by way of needles, burning incense cones or applying pressure by means of massage to correct any disruption to the flow of energy. These pressure points, of which there are several hundred, are found along the meridians in addition to many other pressure points that are not correlated with a precise meridian. When measured scientifically these particular points are observed to be pressure points that affect other parts of the human system. There are 20 meridians in all that connect these acupoints consisting of the 12 standard meridians and 8 extraordinary meridians. The 12 standard meridians correspond to each major organ in the body with the 8 extraordinary meridians having their own groups of points. The meridians are divided into Yin and Yang groups. The Yin meridians of the arm are, heart, lung and pericardium and of the leg are kidney, spleen, and liver. The Yang meridians of the arm are small intestine, large intestine, and triple warmer and of the leg are stomach, bladder, and gall bladder. By pressurizing these exact points, or massaging them, it will affect the internal organs correlated with them, reduce physical illness, and improve the flow of energy. The division of the different meridian systems in the arms and legs allows acupuncturists to directly link places in the body that is external with internal organs. As an example, an acupuncturist who sees that you have heart trouble will detect a Yin meridian on the arm that is directly linked to the heart and pressurize it in order to start the flow of energy. You could start to picture the relationship between the internal organs and the external structure of the body by following the Chinese meridian model and establish how the flow of energy requires to be changed and could locate ways in which the body is affected using the various organs. This is one of the more useful ways to use Chinese medicine for enhanced health. About the Author
