A good nights sleep away with the fairies is what every person wants when they are replenishing their physical and psychological energy.

If you lose sleep by thinking too much, being stressed, having a poor mattress or being kept up by noise you end up being dull, depressed and irritated. So it is important to know a few factors when searching for the perfect nights sleep.

A good bed is extremely important for a full nights sleep. Whether you choose a solid or soft mattress, always be sure to secure it on a firm base and not a saggy one.

The size of the bed can also be crucial. If you share a bed with a loved one make sure there is ample space in the bed for both of you, as this can cause friction and frustration throughout the night. There are many different sizes of mattress to consider including King, Queen and Double. These are the most popular of the shared bed range and considered the most effective.

Buying the right mattress can be very important as a future investment for your health. As each individual has a different body shape, different ways of sleeping and also space requirements.

You will sleep better in a larger bed, so if you are considering a double bed then maybe you could upgrade to a king size mattress. Although it can be space consuming, a bigger bed could be the world of difference to a happy night's sleep.

Check what your bed is made from. If you have allergies or suffer from asthma, it is important to know what you are sleeping on, as irritable materials can create issues with sleeping.

When buying a bed in a shop, take your time with your decision, don't be so hasty to go for the best looking one, as its not all about looks. Lie on the bed in comfortable clothing and see if it is ‘the one.'

Try to buy one that will last the test of time, and although they might be the more expensive beds, we spend a third of our lives sleeping, so don't tell yourself it's not worth it!
