Is Your Snoring Related to Allergens?

There are many reasons out there for snoring to be more common than ever before. One direct factor is excessive weight gain. It has now been proven that the weight gain actually results in higher chances of snoring. This is due to excessive layers of fat around the neck to be a major factor that causes direct interference with breathing. Since snoring is caused by the soft tissues at the back of the throat, any large amount of excess fat that accumulates in this area of neck and debilitate the access of breathing on the inside.

Allergies, colds and even asthma are all three very common reasons for snoring to begin out of the blue. These are temporary problems and wear off after an allergies pass. With allergy caused snoring, the membranes of the throat become inflamed by one of the many types of allergic triggers. Some people show allergic reactions with tree, glass, or other plant pollens during the heightened pollen count months.

There are many people that also have allergic reactions of different degrees to various types of animals. Cats and dogs are both common for carrying pet dander that may cause allergies and at night reflects through snoring. Mold, feathers, house dust and dust mites are also commonly year around allergenic sources for causing nightly snoring. If you find that your allergies are directly due to pet, pollen, mold, house dust, dust mites or anything typically related to any of these types of problems, there are several solutions and the snoring problem can be helped. Looking for the right cause that triggers snoring is important.

Asthma is another serious issue that can lead to mild to medium snoring and usually can be helped with medication prescribed by the doctor. For other mild snoring problems, nasal strips and throat sprays can help reduce the problem and help the healing process over a prolonged time period. Nasal strips, nose and throat sprays are affordable and effective remedies for snoring, even if you are not yet sure about the cause of your snoring problem.

Some home remedies are known to be effective such as sleeping on your side throughout the night and to keep the upper portion of your body well elevated. A good way to lie on your side throughout the night with the help of good heavy pillows, kept close up against your back, while hugging another largely thick pillow in front.

For raising your upper body all night, some may choose to use several pillows propped up under your back, but others may want to put bricks, thick sturdy books or wooden planks up under the top end of the mattress to make sure that you stay in an elevated manner throughout the night.

There are many innovative snoring cures available that have the backing of research and clinical trials and have proved beneficiary to millions of people worldwide. A quick search on the Internet will give you many sites that make effective anti-snoring products.
