Feeling Stressed Out? Break Something to Feel Better-00-334

Most of us have experienced a momentary amount of stress that makes you feel like breaking something. While doing it at that moment might not be the best thing to do, it may very well (in theory) be a way to reduce some stress.

No, you cannot do it at work, or even at home. However, there is a place in San Diego called Sarah's Smash Shack that allows you to do it in a "controlled" environment. "Controlled" meaning wearing protective clothing and doing it inside a room set up to absorb the damage. Clients pay upfront according to the value of the items to be broken, and although it can be a bit costly, customers leave feeling much more relaxed. Hopefully similar businesses will be offered in more locations soon.

Medical professionals have proven it time and again: People, who keep their emotions inside, tend to develop all kinds of medical problems as time goes by. People have been advised to do physical things to get rid of stress and frustration for some time. Activities advised range from doing exercise to screaming your head off.

The latest approach, allowing you to vent your anger, stress and frustration in a manner that is directly proportional to the intensity of the cropped up emotions, could very well be the perfect solution for many people. Many everyday people "collect stress", up to a point where something has to give. Now, instead of having to sacrifice your health or your family's harmony, you can simply let it all out - at a fee.

Unfortunately, these facilities are not available everywhere yet. Some people will have the option to go into their back yard and break something, although that may not be deemed acceptable in some neighborhoods. Apartment dwellers cannot make use of the technique at all (on their own premises). For the time being, it seems, those of us not living in San Diego will have to work on our stress levels using more conventional techniques.
