I guess we all know that obesity is at epidemic levels. It's drummed into us from all angles. Isn't it strange that we have the biggest range of low-fat foods available but we keep getting fatter?

Some of the most frequent cancer types are curable by surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy. The chance of cure increases substantially if cancer is detected early.

Considering that your stomach is roughly the size of your fist (but thank goodness it stretches!), the portion sizes you get today in the average restaurant could probably fill 5 or more stomachs.

Healthy weight is defined as a BMI equal to or greater than 19 and less than 25 among all people aged 20 or over. Between 25 and 29.9 is considered overweight; more than 30 is considered obese.

Common Sense Diet

Common sense will answer the question about what to eat. If you are on Atkins, South Beach or any variation of low carb diet, avoid processed foods, not natural foods. Stop using "instant" breakfast, and cook whole rolled oats for instance. Sure you might have to get up 10 minutes earlier, oh well. You're worth it!

Use EFT to end the Attachment to a Particular Food

EFT is often helpful to diminish or demolish the cravings. It can be your HOW. How to change habits that you want to be rid of, how to create new, better habits, that support what you want, instead of what you don't. EFT is simple to learn, and effective.

If you are a heavy coffee drinker, you rely on coffee to keep you awake and get you through the day with energy. If you suddenly stop drinking coffee, you may suffer in the short term. However, the withdrawal 'pain' may push you to look into the reasons why you lack energy and motivation at work. You may discover that the reasons are emotional, spiritual or physical. Then, depending upon your discovery, you can properly meet your needs by nourishing your areas of lack.

Oxygen therapy is usually administered in one of two ways:

1. A facial mask attached to an oxygen tank, so that the patient breaths in oxygen for many hours of the day; or

2. Daily sessions of diluted hydrogen peroxide administered via an intravenous drip.

Next time someone verbally berates you for carrying excess body weight and tries to tell you how easy it is to be lean & trim, try asking them what they would recommend to that man that some of the top obesity researchers in the world don't yet know.

The short story for how this works is that up until the ice age, humans ate whatever was readily available, like roots, plants, fruit, and a little tasty carrion now and then. Along came the ice ages, and those foods became scarce. Now humans were forced to hunt, but it was dicey and the weapons were primitive, so spans of time occured between kills. The result: our ancestors evolved ways to make the most of the conversion of excess blood sugar into stored nutrition in the form of body fat. When they starved, they lived off stored fat.
