If you are applying for individual health insurance cover then the process will be very much the same but you might not have somebody to help you in processing your application. Having said this, in most cases insurance companies will provide an insurance agent to explain the application form to you and to help you in processing the paperwork on request.

Today the process of applying for health insurance cover is so easy that many people are choosing to apply for cover through the Internet. Here, you simply need to drop by the health insurance company's website where there will be an online application form in a secure area of the website. Once you have entered the required details you simply submit the form and your application will be processed for you by the insurance company.

If in today's climate of increasing fraud you are not comfortable with giving personal details over the Internet then merely telephone the insurance company and ask them to send out the application form which can then be returned in the usual manner through the post.
