Two Nutrients Missing From Most Womens Diet That Provide A Natural Constipation RemedySubmitted by mark@getoffgrid.com Wed, 24 Sep 2008
There are two magic nutrients that most women just flat ignore. You could expect these nutrients to be a problem in non-developed countries, but women in America are missing these. These two forgotten nutritional necessities would solve most women's constipation problems if not ignored. The natural constipation remedy has been preached to us for years, and yet we still don't use them.
Water is the first. One of the greatest resources we have to create a healthy digestive system, skin, body, and overall health is water. It is the primary building block of every cell in our bodies, yet few people drink enough every day. Our bowel exists to extract extra water from our wastes. When we dehydrate ourselves by not taking in sufficient supplies of water for our bodies, our internal organs go into an emergency state of preservation and extract and conserve water wherever it can find it. The two biggest places out body gets stored water from are our digestive system (causing hard formed stools), literally causing constipation by design, and our skin. When the water is taken from our skin it leads to a host of conditions including wrinkles, leathering of the skin, and varicose veins. When our bowels take extra water we become constipated. Want a completely free natural constipation remedy? Drink at least eight glasses of water a day. Fluids do not equal water. Tea and coffee further dehydrate you because they are diuretics. Fruit juice is sugar to our bodies. Pop is completely foreign. They force your body to get rid of even more water. Water works strangely in our systems. Our bodies will swell and extract water from our digestive tract, this means our body is thirsty, give it water. When you consistently increase your water intake, your bowels stop extracting as much, and releases the excess stored as weight. Drinking more water every day is only good if you want to lose weight, find a natural constipation remedy, and healthy skin. The other forgotten nutrient that most women have ignored is fiber. Here are the four easiest and best sources of fiber, nuts and seeds, fruit (preferably raw), WHOLE grains (brown bread, brown rice, Not white), vegetables (again preferably raw, lightly steamed, or baked). There is almost zero dietary fiber in the processed food we buy at the grocery. Even the foods that say they are whole grain are over processed and over cooked so they lose their value. The majority of processed foods like pizza, cookies, pasta and bread containe zero or very little fiber. If your body is not used to a high fiber diet, start slow with a between meal snack of fresh fruit. Would it kill you or your kids to eat your lunch on a wheat bread sandwich rather than Wonder bread? Maybe the kids, but you? Whole wheat pasta is three feet from the white. Cocoa Puffs for breakfast or Raisin Bran? It is pretty easy, a lot more water and a small amount of fiber. These two steps could be all your body needs for a natural constipation remedy.
