Water coolers-the must have item in the workplace

Submitted by CT-Matketing

Every office will have computers, toilets and even a kettle, but not every office has its own water cooler. A water cooler is the best way to keep your staff hydrated and productive throughout the day, making it one of the most coveted office accessories.

Installing a water cooler is fast and cheap, with the benefits felt throughout any company that uses one. People are more health conscious than ever before and will welcome the addition of a water cooler in any office. There are two types of water cooler that could benefit you and your staff.

One is a mains fed water cooler and the other is a bottled water cooler. The basic difference is the way that the water is dispensed from the water cooler. Mains fed water coolers are connected to the mains power which means the water can be both chilled and heated according to what you prefer. Bottled water coolers use large plastic bottles to feed the cooler, meaning a supply of bottles must be kept in order to ensure there is always a supply of water. While mains fed coolers are easier to manage they both have the same results in quality of water produced.

Offices can be notorious for being very dry and stuffy environments, which can cause you to dehydrate much faster than you would normally so investing in a water cooler could dramatically, improve staff productivity and morale.

By keeping hydrated you are keeping your mind and body in perfect health. We are constantly losing water throughout the day by going to the toilet, sweating and even by breathing. Our body is made up of 60% water and our body needs this to function correctly. While most people may think they can get their water intake from somewhere else, the options sometimes have downsides. Sports drinks and carbonated drinks contain too much sugar and don't help to keep you hydrated. Water is the best way to hydrate your body and is the most effective way to quench that thirst you have at around 3 o'clock, as the afternoon slump begins to take over.

Having a water cooler in your place of work will mean you can keep topped up throughout the day with cool and refreshing water. By ensuring you drink plenty of water (experts recommend drinking between 8-10 cups a day) you will improve your digestive system, your skin, your weight and your energy levels as well as keeping you alert and productive.

Experts recommend that you try to start and end each working day with a glass of water to start with to get you used to drinking more water. As you get used to drinking more water, you can try and drink the recommend amount more often and then you can feel the full effects of proper hydration.

So remember, to be able to drink as much water as possible you will need to get a water cooler. The must have accessory for any office, so get yours now!
