If you are obsessed with losing weight then there is one thing you need to do: quit dieting! Contrary to popular belief, going on a diet will not help you shed off that excess fat and make you slimmer. If they do anything for your body, it's that they only make your condition worse.

3. As a result, you can get ill. Diets can cause serious and fatal health problems. There have already been deaths due to cardiac arrhythmia or abnormalities in the rhythm of the heart in the country. You are also at risk of anorexia, bulimia and other eating disorder.

4. You will not function properly. Due to the lack of the proper nutrition in the body, you will feel too weak and tired to do your work or any activity. Diets will cause your body to run low in fuel. Eventually, not only will your body break down, you can also lose your job, etc.

5. Diets can have a negative effect on your outlook. When you are too preoccupied with what you should and not eat, you will find yourself always thinking about food. It's either you will feel repulsed by giving in to your cravings or get scared completely at the thought of eating something. You may also develop a negative self-image. You may look at the mirror and think you are too fat and decide not to eat.
