Effective Weight Loss Strategies

Lots of execs are making lots of money off of the masses in the United States today in the dieting industry. More and more people are looking for effective weight loss strategies and they are gobbling up the diet fads! I'm tired of hearing about crazy diets and ridiculous procedures to lose weight. All meat diets and starvation tactics always lead to a crash - any weight you lose is put right back on, and people are sometimes putting their health at risk by participating in the latest 'body cleanse' diet of cayenne pepper, water, and syrup; for days at a time. Scary.

Average people today face more pressure and stress than any other generation in human history - temptation is thrust upon us by the mass media - take 3 hours and count the amount of fast food commercials during your favorite shows on Thursday night - you'll be astounded. How can any person compete with the millions poured into the advertising industry each month? Ever notice how the air time for fast food ads far outweighs the time for effective weight loss strategies? People today are facing a constant barrage of advertising for unhealthy products! Things surely have changed.

The human diet has changed drastically in the last 100 years. Throughout the history of our evolution, we have relied on naturally grown foods and animals - it wasn't so long ago that people were still hunting and killing their food regularly to survive - they weren't worried about finding effective weight loss strategies! Technology and the mass media have now thrust our species into a dangerous path with regard to the human diet. Consider these facts:

- 64 of Americans are classified as obese
- Obesity kills 325,000 people a year
- 300 million people worldwide are obese;

Obesity is a scary trend that's developing in today's society - our great great Grandparents had to hunt and farm to survive only 150 years ago - now there are 300 million obese people on earth! Obesity is on the rise but luckily, there are some great, healthy weight loss programs out there that can teach you how to live on a proper diet.

If you're worried about the annoying stomach fat that has developed in the last couple of years, fortunately, effective weight loss strategies can help you to reduce your fat quickly and naturally. Below are some tips to help you get started:

Tip #1:

KISS (Keep it simple, stupid!) - Most people know the foods that are good for them and the foods that are bad for them. Resist the temptation of the neighbourhood donut shop or convenience store. Remember that those companies are spending millions on advertising to keep you fat! Do they deserve your business? Did your Grandparents need fast food to survive?

Tip #2:

Exercise! - Any kind of exercise is better than doing nothing. Even cleaning your house is exercise - take your dog for a walk - go for a run. Get motivated and get moving! Start simple and you'll be amazed how you feel after a month. Make yourself active for 20 minutes a day walking or jogging - anyone can do this - why aren't you?

Tip #3:

Make a Plan and Educate Yourself! - If you are serious about getting healthy, you need to make a plan and stick to it! Developing a plan is tough sometimes, but remember Tip #1 - KISS. Make a quick chart outlining your tasks and goals for the day - update it daily. Schedule your exercise - find a time and make it work. Try to document a new routine. Learning how to lose fat naturally is tough, but it can be done by resisting the temptation of the media, exercising, and making a plan. There are a lot of different tools around to help you make a plan - which I think is the hardest part.
