Hypnosis is a totally natural state of mind. When under hypnosis you will feel very relaxed, it is like that feeling when you are tired lying in your bed and you just feel the most comfortable you have ever been. Hypnosis is one of the most natural ways to lose weight. Hypnosis can help to lose weight by allowing your unconcious mind to overcome obstacles which prevent you from keeping the weight off after a successful diet. What hypnotherapy does is tells your unconcious mind that eating too much is not what you disire and exercise and a sensible diet are very important.
Hypnosis is a two way process, a person cannot be hypnotised unless he or she fully co-opertates. While hypnotised nobody can make you do anything you dont want to. It will not be like on T.V where people are hypnotised to do really embarrising things, this is just a form of entertainment and the person involved has agreed for these things to be done to them. Proper hypnosis is very professional which is done in a private office. The first stage is to have an informal chat with the therapist to find out what your problems are and what you want to achieve by doing hypnosis. After this chat the therapist will determine wheather you qualify as a candidate to be hypnotised. Once hypnotised you are lead by the therapist's gentil guilding voice, into a state where your body and mind are relaxed and nearly asleep. You will remain awake at all times, also awake will be your mind which the therapist is working to induce the benefical changes. It is much lie being in a daydream. Once these changes have been made they will be imprinted in your mind at all times and can only be removed by the therapist. Therefore if you are trying to lose weight the therapist will tell your mind you do not need to over eat and diet and exercise are a good idea. It may take a few sessions to implament these changes but once they have been achieved it is a great way to lose weight. It can also work for other bad habbits you may have such as smoking.
